Nice long aged trail then Christmas fun with training buddies. 

Boozie's first exposure to desert hunting

He did even better than I expected. It was grossly hot and being a dry heat did not help. He ranged out to quest but also, unbidden, stayed in a great range. He navigated the cacti really well. Scaled, Mearns, Gambles.

Road tripping, Las Cruces

Just walking but he pointed two birds.

Finished AT within the Shenandoah

It was below freezing the whole time. Only saw one person toward the end. One brief bear contact but also !!! three woodcock pointed just a couple feet off the path; that made the walk shorter. 

Pick up dog at tower shoot

Morning started quite cold but it was a good time. He retrieved over 40 pheasants including the money bird. Lots of practice marking and several denials.

Loft Mountain to Wildcat Ridge- 16 miles

Without adjusting for wind chill, temperatures ranged from 17 to 32. Had a nice walk. 

Placement at first feild trial

Super fun weekend playing NSTRA. Boozie and I need a few more skills to do well consistently but taking second at our first feild trial wasn't shabby.
